"Spiders..." is a great book so far (I'm half way through). It's fitting that the book is recommended for American libraries since I borrowed the copy I'm reading from our small town Pacific Northwest library.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to understand more about Iraq, the Middle East, Muslim religions, or why so many people in the region hate each other and the US. That pretty much has to be everyone, doesn't it, that's interested in one or all of those topics?
I have just read The Spiders of Allah and thought it was one of the best books I had read on the Iraq war. It ranks with The Forever War as one of my favourite thoughtful accounts of the conflict and I found Hider's wider thoughts about religion and war also interesting. I really enjoyed the book.
